Angelina Jolie’s personal life has long been a topic of public discussion, especially following her highly publicized divorce from Brad Pitt.
The two first met in 2003 on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Their relationship quickly evolved. They spent 12 years together, raising six children.

However, in 2016, Jolie shocked many
She filed for divorce. After a prolonged legal battle, their separation was finalized in 2024.
A heavily redacted FBI report, obtained by Entertainment Weekly, shed light on an alleged 2022 incident between the former couple. According to the report, Pitt reportedly led Jolie to the back of a plane.
There he allegedly grabbed her by the head and shoulders, shook her, and yelled, “You’re f***ing up this family.” The Bullet Train actor then allegedly punched the plane’s ceiling multiple times.
The report further states that when Jolie opened the door, two of their children—whose names were redacted—were crying and asked if she was okay. Pitt allegedly responded, “No, mommy’s not OK. She’s ruining this family.” It is also claimed that he poured beer on Jolie while she was under a blanket with the children.

The FBI document notes
The Department of Children and Family Services Bureau of Child Protection had received a report. It was about an assault towards a minor child. Despite the redactions, the report detailed tensions between Pitt and the children, including an alleged comment where Pitt reportedly said, “That kid looks like a f***ing Columbine kid.”
At the time of their divorce, Jolie’s representative told People magazine: “Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time.”
Pitt’s representative denied allegations of physical abuse
In another statement to U.S. media, Pitt’s team added: “Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one—unlike the other side—but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do. He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation.
Thankfully, the various public authorities the other side has tried to use against him over the past six years have made their own independent decisions. Brad will continue to respond in court as he has consistently done.”
Since the plane incident, Jolie has made additional claims of abuse
Stating that the problems began long before the alleged 2022 event.
Jolie made an 2023 interview with The Wall Street Journal. She revealed that stress had affected her health, leading to a Bell’s palsy diagnosis in 2017. “My body reacts very strongly to stress,” she said. “My blood sugar goes up and down. I suddenly had Bell’s palsy six months before my divorce.”
Bell’s palsy is a condition that causes sudden muscle weakness on one side of the face. Potentially leading to paralysis. The exact cause remains unknown.
Experts believe it may result from inflammation or swelling of the nerve controlling facial muscles, possibly triggered by a viral infection.
Jolie has been open about her sexuality throughout her life. In a 1997 interview with Girlfriends Magazine, the then 22-year-old actress shared: “It’s great because I love men and women. If I fell in love with a woman tomorrow, would I feel that it’s okay to want to kiss and touch her? Absolutely! Yes!”
Her relationship with Jenny Shimizu was widely known, though she later suggested that she set aside that part of herself while with Pitt. Speaking to The Sun, Jolie stated: “I’ve never hidden my bisexuality, but since I’ve been with Brad, there’s no longer a place for that in my life.”
